Yoga with certified instructor Svetlana Nudelman
Tuesdays, 10 am - 11 am
Yoga for beginners and intermediate levels. Svetlana says: When I teach, it is more about self-esteem, confidence, emotional strength, balance, and flexibility than mastering different asanas. Physical practice is the way to discover your true self and liberate yourself from self-doubt and wrong beliefs about your limitations.

After completing 200 hours of training, Svetlana received her yoga teacher certificate in 2018. You can learn more about her in this Colorado Springs Gazette article.

Conversations and Coffee
The first & third Tuesdays of each month, 11 am - 12 pm
An informal group that will not always have a designated leader. The group previously called Senior Chat Group will now be called "Conversations and Coffee.” We will gather in the church's lobby and add chairs as needed. Participants are invited to show up and exchange ideas, stories, etc. Please bring your own coffee mug.

Math Tutoring - all levels with Mathematics Instructor Jacquie Ostrom
Wednesdays 3-4 pm and Thursdays 3-5 pm
Our work together will be guided by the materials students bring to work on, so the time we spend is tailored to the student's needs. High school students are welcome from 3-4 pm and younger students from 4-5, but overlap will be accommodated. Please bring paper, a pencil, and an eraser. Let's make it fun! Mathematics is wonderful once you understand.
Jacquie taught all levels of Math at Pikes Peak Community College. She has a master's degree in Counseling and a reputation for being gentle and kind.

Crafting Group with LuAnn Weems
Wednesdays 10 am - 11 am (once per month; dates will vary; please check calendar)
From LuAnn: Crafting has been a part of my life since I was a little girl growing up on a farm in Minnesota. Crafting takes many forms, and it is relaxing and food for the soul. However, if you are creative, join our informal group with your project. We can also discuss sources of materials for your crafting, answer questions, and share information about other groups meeting around the area. If you wish to bring your beverage, please do so (water, soda, coffee, or tea).

Join us for a fun-filled experience that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and a sense of community in our youngest learners. Yoga Stretching and Meditation with certified instructor Jacquie Ostrom
Wednesdays 12 pm - 1 pm
We'll do eight easy yoga stretches that help us release energetic blocks to make it comfortable to enjoy relaxed, guided, sitting meditation. The easy yoga stretches can be modified to meet everyone's needs. They can even be done in a chair. The guided meditation steps are soothing and help you release stress to go deep within and find peace. Handouts for the yoga stretches and meditation steps will be provided so you can also practice on your own. Please bring your own yoga mat, or you can sit in a chair.

Paws to Read
Thursdays 4-5 pm and the second Saturday 10-11 am
We are pleased that Go Team Therapy Dogs will be sending a handler and dog to our children's section, where kids will be encouraged to read books to the dogs. Go Team is an elite, highly trained group dedicated to placing well-trained, certified therapy dog teams in programs that provide comfort and care through the canine-human bond. You can learn more about this group and their impact on our community at https://goteamdogs.org/

On the first Thursday of every month, retired teacher Sue McTigue brings her ten-year-old toy fox terrier to the library. On the other days, various teams (handler and dog) will take turns coming. Kids might get to pet a spaniel mix, a Bernese Mountain Dog, a sheltie, or an Aussie, to name a few!
